Topological / Maps Just about everything can be expressed in topological terms. The dramaturgical curve, the circular economy, the feedback loop, the hyperbole story, etc. Designing for structures, systems or processes means making maps, which serve as mental models. Maps are usually better suited for communication, because, unlike language, they are using universal concepts of topology. Maps also allow to determine an itinerary - a starting point and a destination. The design process then takes on the form of a journey, the final product is like a traveller - apparently the same, but, in fact, transformed, perhaps "smart".
